#1 Circular Saw-
There are different kinds of circular saws: sidewinder saws, which are the most common type, and worm-drive saws, which are well-suited for more heavy-duty work. No matter what kind of saw you use, the safety basics are always the same.

Put your bit into the chuck (the three-pronged holder thingy) Tighten. Make sure it's plenty tight. You can tighten it a bit more by holding the big round part just behind the bit, then squeezing the trigger for a quick sec, but don't come crying to us if you chafe your soft widdle hands

#3 Jig Saw -
Jigsaws are ideal for cutting curves and shapes in wood. They also work well for making short crosscuts on a board. They are not good for making fast, long, straight cuts.
Jigsaws work best for cutting softwood that's no more than 1-1/2 in. thick and hardwood up to 3/4 in. thick. Jigsaw blades tend to bend when cutting curves in thicker boards, leaving a beveled edge rather than a square one. To keep the cut square, use a sharp blade and avoid forcing the saw through the cut.

#5 Table Saw-
The table saw is typically thought of as the workhorse of the woodshop, as it is likely the most versatile and productive of all woodworking machines. This one tool can rip, cross-cut, miter-cut, square, dado, rabbet, and even apply shapes to edges of wood stock. #6 Chop Saw-
Set the saw up right. When you are cutting flat bar, set the work in the clamp vertically, so the is cut is through a thin layer the whole way. It is hard for the blade to clear the kerf (cuttings) when it has to cut across flat work.

In order to safely use a router, you’ve got to move it in the right direction. When routing the outside edge of a board, you should go counterclockwise. Going in the correct direction prevent the router from climb cutting and getting away from you. If you’re routing all four edges of a board, it’s important to make the cuts in the right sequence. Start on end grain (Photo 11). As the bit exits the end grain, it may slightly chip the adjacent edge. When you rout that edge you’ll automatically clean up any chipping.

If you are one of those people who enjoys building woodworking crafts/projects and have some basic carpentry skills this website will interest you in the same way that it did me. There are over 16,000 (!) woodworking plans which you can download instantly. You will not be disappointed with this one as I have tried some of the others and they were lacking in the instructions which they gave and were hard to understand. I got access to the download area, I was pleasantly surprised with the layout and organization of the plans. With 16,000 plans, you would expect it to be disorganized somewhat. However, I found it pretty easy to locate the exact project I want. In all honestly, I do not know how you can buy for the price of all those plans. It must have taken a long time to put all that together but am I ever glad it's available.
