What a great idea for a summer barbecue. This DIY project is very simple. All you need is six 8-ft lengths of 2x4, a circular saw and a sander for this project.
Cut your 2x4's 10 1/2 inches in length at 54 pieces total. You could cut your wood using a mitter saw, circular saw, jigsaw or if your feeling like HULK you could use a hand saw. View tools you may need
Next step is to Sand. Use 180 grit sandpaper on your sander to soften the edges to get rid of any splinters.

This backyard game is easy and inexpensive to build. You can make your boards portable and design them with any color or style. What is your favorite sports team?
What it Takes- Start with gathering your material list. You will need:
- wood screws (1 box) 3" length
- 1x4 Boards (4)
- 1/2" Plywood (2)
- Bolts, Nuts (4 each)
Gather the tools you'll need. You will need a circular saw, jigsaw, drill, clamps and a 4ft level.
Cut your wood to size:
Your 1x4's will be cut into four 48-in pieces for the sides. Cut four pieces 22 1/2-in for the front and back.
Construct Your Boxes:
Use your clamps to construct your box frame. Use your 3" wood screws to fasten your frame. Now, cut your 1/2 plywood to fit your width. Attach the plywood to your frame. Mark a point 12-in from a side edge and 9-in from top edge. Draw a 6-in dia. circle around the mark using a compass. Drill a pilot hole and jigsaw out your hole.
Cut The Legs:
Cut the legs to for each board to 12 inches. Measure 1 3/4 inches down from the top of the board and make a mark. Second, measure 3/8 inch hole where the marks are. Use a compass to draw an arc which will round of the top so the legs can fold. Use a jigsaw to cut the arc. Attach the legs to your frame. Learn more in downloadable plans.
Sand and Paint:
Sand your boards, prime and paint them whatever style fits you.
